ABOUT EXTFIT
Extfit is a fitness program created by Jay Pages. A martial artist, a coach, a student, a fitness enthusiast, a personal trainer! The program is unique in the sense that it is always changing, always utilizing multiple modes of exercise, working multiple planes of motion, and is forever creating new plateaus to conquer! Similar to Crossfit, our strength and conditioning program that is constantly varied, is high in intensity, utilizes functional movement, with the goal of improving fitness. The biggest difference is our workouts last longer than the Crossfit norm of 20 - 30 minutes. We combine movements such as sprinting, rowing, jumping rope, climbing rope, weightlifting, and carrying odd objects, the use of barbells, dumbbells, gymnastics rings, pull-up bars, kettlebells, medicine balls, and many body weight exercises. These elements are mixed in numerous combinations to form prescribed "Tough Spartan Workout of the Day" or "T-SWODs". Our group classes are an hour and a half long classes and typically include a warm-up, a skill development segment, the high-intensity T-SWOD, and a period of individual or group stretching. Performance on each T-SWOD is often scored and/or ranked to encourage competition and to track individual progress.
We are home to the only obstacle course training group in Chandler, AZ! We will help you prepare for races such as the Tough Mudder and the Spartan Race Series! |
